There are a lot of smiles in this bittersweet video. I can only speak personally here and not from research, but I’d much rather watch and share — and give — when there are smiles involved. They really are taking a sad song and making it better. The children’s research hospital in Memphis has put a smart integrated media campaign together here. They have a clever hashtag for Twitter (#heystjude) a website called heystjude.org which has not much more than the video you see here and a “wear it” section — where you can wear a #heystjude tee shirt if you donate $35 or more — and “share it” section where you can share the site and your own thoughts via social media.
