Werewolf Erotica and the Ubers of Novel Writing

I really like the online publication Rest of the World which looks at tech from a non-US perspective. And this is a classic recent article: Werewolf erotica is the latest global gig work trend. It’s also a $3.7B business in China.

The article talks about how people in countries like Mexico, the Philippines, Nigeria, and China are writing serialized (AKA binge reading) novels for readers everywhere on platforms like Dreame, GoodNovel, Webnovel, and Fizzo. And now Amazon (as they do) are swooping in to give it a try with Kindle Vella.
